A Notary Public is an official appointed by each respective state to serve as an impartial witness
certifying and notarizing a variety of documents.
Yes. Notaries are restricted from notarizing or certifying birth certificates, death certificates, and marriage/divorce certificates. You must contact the institution that issued that certificate.
Apostille certificate validate the seal and signature of a Notary on a document so that it can be accepted in a foreign country. Notaries cannot issue apostilles, rather they notarize the document itself. Because the document is destined for another country, the notarization must be performed properly to ensure that there aren’t any problems on the receiving end.
ID cards with a photo and signature of the document signer are acceptable. Please contact J Ramsey Notary prior to your appointment if you do not have an id.
J Ramsey Notary accepts checks, cash, credit card, and digital payments such as Zelle and Cash App. Businesses may arrange financing options.
